This CD includes a rerecording of the 1998 song "Jeopardy" and a new song from 2008 "Kirk Spock Bones." Beginning in 1998, Tanny has created memorable dementia songs heard on podcasts and Internet radio streams as well as a few terrestrial radio stations. Some of the places Tanny has been heard include Friggin' Here, Bofore Radio, Ed's Mixed Bag, The Mad Music Archive, the iFunny Weekly Countdown, David's Top 10, Dalecast, Comedy Music Cellar, and others. CD BackgroundDescription of the Album's StyleIt's an album featuring comedy, dementia, sketches, rap, and parodies about pop culture, TV, commercials, celebrities, sci-fi, and more.Full Background About The CDDavid Tanny has produced a collection of souvenirs from 1998-2008 including a new song "Kirk Spock Bones", a tribute to Star Trek. This CD features 28 tracks of comedy, novelty, weird, commentary, and nerdcore.1. This is SATV station I.D. with announcer (2008) - a takeoff on the SCTV station identification jingle. 2. I've Seen Everything (2006) - parody of "I've Been Everywhere" by Hank Snow and Johnny Cash. This is the second parody of that song. The first parody that I know of was performed by Rick Moranis with "I Ain't Going Nowhere" from the CD "Agoraphobic Cowboy" from 2005, also recommended. 3. Numbered TV Shows on SATV (2007) - a spoof of an TV announcement. 4. Kirk Spock Bones (2008) - a new rap song in commeration of the Star Trek sci-fi series, as well as a lyrical parody of the late Logan Whitehurst song "Robot Cat." 5. Jeopardy (2007 version) - a parody of the Beatles song "Yesterday". The original 1998 mix has been discarded. 6. HDTV Dinners (2007) - upgrade your dinner to high definition 7. Hollywood Squarin' (2000) (note: regular mix) - a parody of the Kool and the Gang hit "Hollywood's Swingin'" as the tune is turned into a tribute to a game show but without the celebrity outtakes and the last half of the song is in the foreground. 8. News Bulletin SA3 (2006) - even a CD gets interrupted by a news bulletin? Yes, Stupid Audio has it's own news department. 9. Tricks Practical Joker Cereal (2004) - another Wacky Package come to life. 10. Good Times (2006) - the Chic song "Good Times" had nothing to do with the hit TV show of the 1970s. This parody mentions this TV show, along with 25 other shows from the 1970s. 11. Bam Commercial (2006) - another Wacky Package come to life. 12. Pokemon (2000) - A parody of They Might Be Giants' hit "Particle Man". 13. Today on SATV (2007) - a spoof of an TV announcement. 14. Movie and Sports Week on SATV (2007) - a spoof of an TV announcement. 15. Eight is Enough (2000) - A parody of The Beatles' hit "Eight Days a Week" reworked around a nostalgic TV series from 1977-81 16. Alyssa Milano Intro 17. Alyssa Milano (2006) - something stupid I created with just a celebrity name, three shows, and three characters she was associated with. I tried to write a song about one of my favorite actresses of all time, but after some 100 crinkled pieces of paper, I gave up and decided to try something more avant garde. 18. Music Week on SATV (2007) - a spoof of an TV announcement. 19. Good Times (full version) (2006) 20. Mary Had a Little Lamb - The Woodchucks (1981) - Something I combined when I sped up an old cassette player to double the speed of my voice while synching it to an old Magnus organ. This was way before digital stuff made this extra work obsolete. 21. Mary Lost Her Little Lamb (2000) - What would happen to Mary. 22. Zeem - David Tanny age 12 (1972, doing several versions of a sketch on an old tape machine based on a sketch from "The Electric Company.") NOTE: (this cut is no longer included in this CD-R since that will be included in the CD "Volume 8: Commercials II" 23. Eek - David Tanny age 12 (1972, doing several versions of a sketch of "The Electric Company" NOTE: (this cut is no longer included in this CD-R since that will be included in the CD "Volume 8: Commercials II" 24. Joketime - David Tanny age 11 NOTE: (this cut is no longer included in this CD-R since that will be included in the CD "Volume 8: Commercials II" 25. I'm a Cowboy (2000) - An original song using clever rhymes for "Day" almost throughout the song. 26. Watchin' Space Ghost (2006) - a parody of Tegan and Sara's hit from 2005 "Walkin' With a Ghost". 27. Alyssa Milano A Capella (2006) 28. This is SATV station I.D. w/o announcer 29. Bam with Sketch (2006) - another Wacky Package come to life. After the commercial, Beavis and Butthead comment on the product. |
